Pre-Conference Circle Process Training

The pre-conference training session on the use of circles to address problems and conflicts within communities led by Dominic Barter was attended by 75 people.  The morning focused on establishing a relational basis for meaningful dialogue (i.e., creating the signal over which deeper communication can travel). The afternoon examined a set of questions to be considerd and issues to be addressed over time as dialogue deepens.

After a continental breakfast the confernece with 550 attendees was opened by Mike Gilbert, Executive Director and Mara Schiff, Lead Organizer and conference host.  The Dillard High School Drum Line brought everyone to their feet this was followed by a moving performance of the song "I Believe I Can Fly" by Jahreal Glinton.

National Conferences
