Join us in welcoming Faith Watkins to the NACRJ team! Faith comes to NACRJ as a master of social work student at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado. She lives in Austin, Texas where her passion for social justice work was ignited while volunteering for a local syringe exchange outreach program. She has taught Compassionate Communication in various settings from the classroom to harm reduction and recovery groups. As a court appointed special advocate with CASA of Travis County, she easily connects and advocates for both children and respondent parents. She's particularly interested in the topic of accountability in RJ practices and how we use shame as a healthy way to evoke positive change. Faith loves listening to audiobooks while walking her dog, and she continues to imagine a world where we can truly see each other in all our splendid diversity.
