The National Association for Community and Restorative Justice presented four awards at its bi-annual conference recently held in Denver, CO from June 14-16, 2019. Over 1,600 people gathered for the event whose theme was “Elevating Justice: Widening the Circle”. During each of the conference’s plenary sessions, one award was given. A short video was shown to the assembled group highlighting each of the recipients accomplishments prior to them accepting their award. This year, four awards were presented in the following catagories: 1) Dennis Maloney Award for Youth-Based Community and Restorative Justice, 2) Leadership and Innovation Award in Community and Restorative Justice, 3) Research / Journalism Award in Community and Restorative Justice and 4) Lifetime Achievement Award in Community and Restorative Justice.
